I have always felt a strange fascination for videos in which you see huge turbines falling.
Browsing around on YouTube, I came across the Loizeaux family, who seem to have an extremely interesting life: they specialise in demolishing structures (LinkedIn).
The Loizeauxs, with their company Controlled Demolition, Incorporated (CDI) have demolished dozens of turbines.
Here are some videos.
The first one looks like a clssical case of burnt nacelle (perhaps from a short circuit?):
In the second we have a vintage turbine (the 1.65MW Vestas V82). Without logo but with the typical radiator above the nacelle.
But the best is definitely the third: ten long minutes of controlled explosions and slowly falling turbines. Enjoy!
